Synopsis:
James Gunn had been waiting for a long time to take the big leap he deserved in the American movie scene. Trained at Lloyd Kauffman's Troma and capable of writing one of the best remakes in recent horror cinema like Dawn of the Dead, Gunn debuted as a director with the indispensable Slither. In Super we once again find ourselves before a process of deconstructing the superhero, focusing on a normal, everyday guy who transforms himself into Crimson Bolt, a powerless alter ego with unexpected results. James Gunn
Originally from St. Louis, Missouri, he's a writer, screenwriter, producer and director. He began his professional career at the Troma company as the producer and screenwriter for Tromeo & Juliet (96) and later moved to Hollywood where he wrote the screenplay for Scooby-doo (02) and Dawn of the Dead (04).
