A tacky, scruffy detective is in charge of finding “Jess Franco’s Last Film”: the essence of his cinema. To do so he speaks to different celebrities who have lived with Franco’s cinema: Lina Romay, Antonio Mayans, Emilio Estévez, Robert Forster, Roger Corman, Brigitte Lahaie and Jack Taylor, among many others. With this documentary, Pedro Temboury pays a heartfelt tribute to his maestro in the art of B movies.
He started to shoot super-8 shorts and in 1996 he directed Psycho-lettes, which was all the rage at festivals. Soon afterwards he worked as Jesús Franco’s assistant director. His first feature length film was Kárate a muerte en Torremolinos (03) which would be followed by Ellos robaron la picha de Hitler (08).
