Synopsis:


It’s impossible to imagine present-day Spanish film without The Day of the Beast. Two decades after its premiere, Álex de la Iglesia’s movie continues to be the great go-to example if you want to mix the most brutal fantastic with the Spanish tradition of the grotesque. This documentary interviews the crew responsible for this masterpiece and assesses its still relevant influence.

Illustrious names in fandom and the study of Spanish fantastic, together they’ve made the documentary Los perversos rostros de Víctor Israel (10) and the book Silencios de pánico. Historia del cine fantástico y de terror español, 1897-2010.
