Synopsis:


“One day you’re going to have a scare that’s bad, and then you’re going to make us sad”, sang Vainica Doble in “La vegeteriana”. And a scare with a capital “S” is exactly what Justine, a young woman entering the vet school where her sister is also studying, will get. A strict vegetarian like the rest of her family, Justine will start to undergo the strangest symptoms after eating raw meat during a hazing ritual.

Director biography:


Julia Ducournau

Paris, 1983. Studied film at La Fémis, where she specialized in scriptwriting. In 2011 she made her debut short film, the fantastic comedy Junior, and in 2016, her feature length debut Grave, presented with flying colors at the Cannes Critics’ Week.
