Elena moves to the country to work as Louise and Kasper's housekeeper. The house is peaceful and gloomy and has no electricity according to the express wishes of Louise, convalescing after an abortion. When Louise asks Elena to be a surrogate mother, the young woman accepts. I can use the money, she thinks. But the pregnancy goes south. Something is growing inside Elena, but way too fast.
Born in Teheran in 1981. He studied architecture in Stockholm and film in Denmark, where he graduated with the experimental short M for Markus (11). He’s published short stories in Persian and Shelley is his first feature film.
