Synopsis:

A promise is a promise and here the great Takashi Miike returns with a new installment of this action blockbuster, based on Hiroshi Takahashi’s famous comic, that was an enormous box office hit all throughout Asia last year. Once again the problematic Suzuran high school is the stage for epic combats between gangs of students who live and breathe only for fighting. A spectacular sequel where Genji and his group will have to face a new problem, the attack of the powerful Hosen gang. New characters, punk rock, glamour in abundance and action, with hundreds of extras, that verges on all-out war.

Director biography:

Yao, Osaka, 1960. One of Japan’s most sought after filmmakers, he became seasoned in innumerable television and video productions before rocketing to fame with Audition (99) and Ichi, the Killer (01). His extensive filmography includes huge blockbusters like Zebraman (04), One Missed Call (04), Crows Zero (08) and Yatterman (09).
