Nicolas Winding Refn presents 'The Act of Seeing' at Sitges 2015
The morning screening of ‘Segon Origen’ for schools kicks off the first day of the 48th Film Festival
Sitges 2015 will be hosting the presentation of the book The Act of Seeing, a collection of vintage American movie posters selected by Nicolas Winding Refn, written by the famous film critic Alan Jones and published by Harvey Fenton. This event, open to the public, will be on Saturday 10 October at 13:00 and will take place in the Llevant Room (Meliá Hotel). Immediately afterwards, the director will sign his book for those attending.
Participating in the press conference for the presentation of The Act of Seeing are Nicolas Winding Refn, Alan Jones, author of the book, and Harvey Fenton, publisher. And today, in the Auditori, the Danish director will receive the Time Machine Award in recognition of his brilliant film career.
One of the very first events today was the morning screening of Segon Origen, exclusively for schools, with the attendance of the Mayor of Sitges, Miquel Forns, and part of the film’s crew. More than 1,300 students from schools in Sitges, the region and Barcelona enjoyed this long awaited film adaptation of the famous novel by Manuel de Pedrolo, directed by Carles Porta and the deceased Bigas Luna.
