The SITGES International Fantasy Film Festival of Catalonia is the number one fantasy film festival in the world and, at the same time, the cultural expression with the greatest media impact in Catalonia. With a solid 5 decades of experience behind it, the Sitges Festival is, year after year, a stimulating universe of encounters, exhibitions and screenings of fantast films from around the world. Born in 1968 as the 1st International Week of Fantasy and Horror Movies, today the Festival is an essential rendezvous for movie lovers and audiences eager to be in touch with the latest trends and technologies applied to the audiovisual world.

The Festival is controlled by a private Foundation with a board made up of representatives from the Sitges Town Council, the Generalitat de Catalunya (Catalonia’s autonomous government) and other institutions, associations and companies. Most of its resources come from the collaborating sponsors, companies and institutions that consider their alliance to the Festival to be an excellent platform for widening their scope and brand image. In the business world sponsorship is considered a communication tool that complements the field of advertising, marketing and public relations.

Within the context of the current marketing more focused on bi-directional relationships between the brand and its audience, the Festival is an unrivalled setting for solid sponsorship actions, with international impact, a capacity to generate branded content and focused on quantitative and qualitative targets. 

In this sense, the SITGES International Film Festival of Catalonia submits, for the diverse brands to consider, an agreement of efficient sponsorship with in order to increase their prestige and be an example of their sensitivity to culture.

In addition to actions custom-designed for each sponsor, the Festival also offers numerous advertising media for those companies interested in being connected to our brand and project themselves to this potential target.

GRAPHIC AND ONLINE ADVERTISING

The Festival has several publications of its own that are a direct communication vehicle with the public, VIP guests, industry professionals and the media.

Festival Catalogue. Comprehensive information on each edition, including the movies from all the Festival’s sections, the Juries, Tributes and Honorary Awards plus all the different special programs.

Sitges Daily - Newspaper. A publication published daily throughout the Festival with information on all programmed activities. It includes expert opinions and reviews, interviews with guests, all information of public interest and plenty of documentary and photographic material. 16 pages with 5,000 daily copies, distributed in Sitges and Barcelona.

Festival Web Site. www.sitgesfilmfestival.com is the official web site offering the most up-to-date, comprehensive, complete information on the Festival’s daily life.

INTERIOR AND EXTERIOR ADVERTISING

Banners: With the Festival’s poster on one side, and the sponsors’ advertising on the other, placed around the entire town of Sitges.

Billboards: Installation of billboards opposite the Auditorium’s entrance, where over 100,000 people walk back and forth throughout the Festival.

Outdoor advertising: Installation of display stands, panels and signs at all the Festival’s venues.

Stands: Installation of promotional and companies’ business stands outside the Meliá Sitges Auditorium and the Brigadoon zone.

Indoor advertising: Installation of static promotional elements at the Festival’s different venues (roll ups, sets)

Parties, cocktail parties and presentations: Brand presence at the diverse events held during the Festival.
