At 86, Marjorie spends her final days living with her daughter and son-in-law, and with a hologram of her deceased husband, who looks just the way he did in the prime of their lives. The presence of this virtual being should be therapeutic, but it causes mixed feeling in the family. With a distinguished supporting cast, Michael Almereyda adapts a Jordan Harrison play, nominated for a Pulitzer Prize, for film.
Screenwriter and director, he made a name for himself in the mid-nineties with Nadja (94). Other outstanding films of his are Hamlet (00) and Experimenter: the Stanley Milgram Story (15).
