Applications can be processed from August 12th to September 30th
The organizers of the Sitges - International Fantastic Film Festival of Catalonia wish to inform everyone that due to the current situation caused by the Covid-19 pandemic, this year's Festival will be held using a hybrid model, from October 8th to 18th. Consequently, it will combine physical, on-site screenings of the selected feature and short films in theaters, with online screenings on its virtual platform created specifically for this purpose.
Those professionals –both journalists and industry members- who wish to apply for Sitges 2020 accreditation may do so via the Festival's website starting next Wednesday, August 12th and until Wednesday, September 30th There will be two different types of passes: on-site and online. The specifications for each type of pass can also be consulted on the Festival's website.
In the event that, for reasons resulting from the health crisis, the Festival were to be held exclusively in its online format, the on-site passes would automatically become online passes, or their cost would be refunded according to each user's preferences.
The pandemic's impact may alter the terms of use of all passes. In addition, all basic safety rules must be observed at all times: the use of sanitizing alcohol, the use of a mask, physical distancing and hand washing.
The Festival organization reserves the right to close the accreditation application process if at some point the number of passes established for proper capacity control is exceeded.
