Seül, 1960. Estudià cinema a la Universitat de Chung-Ang. Debutà amb The Day a Pig Fell into the Well (96). Va fer el salt a la fama amb Turning Gate (02). Destaquen: Woman on the Beach (06) o Night and Day (08).
