After terrifying the Festival's audiences with his films in previous years, this time Brazilian filmmaker José Mojica Marins came to Sitges in person with two films under his arm: Hallucinations of a Deranged Mind and Estupro!. Dressed as the sinister Zé do Caixão, he wreaked havoc in the town of Sitges. The film series dedicated to Spanish fantastic genre, featuring gems from the 1920s and other more recent releases, was a first attempt to bring a certain order to the history of Spanish Fantaterror.
