This year, the Grand Honorary Award went to Vincent Cassel. Other illustrious special guests included Richard Kelly, Kim Jee-won, Apichatpong Weerasethakul, and Rebecca de Mornay. Directors such as Jim Mickle (Stake Land) and James Gunn (Super) visited Sitges as up-and-coming genre sensations. And two films sparked tremendous curiosity among the Festival's audiences: Rubber, which everyone referred to as “the tire movie,” and Catfish, with an ending that was strictly forbidden to reveal.
