We celebrated half a century of life following in the footsteps of the most timeless of vampires. Our 50th anniversary was marked alongside honorees such as William Friedkin, Frank Langella, and Susan Sarandon, who treated the audience to an a cappella rendition of one of the greatest hits from The Rocky Horror Picture Show during a now-legendary late-night session at the Auditori. In the various juries — featuring names like Nick Antosca, Alberto Marini, and David J. Skal — awards were given to the latest works by Kornél Mundruczó (Jupiter’s Moon), Joachim Trier (Thelma)… and the talent of a debut filmmaker named Coralie Fargeat (Revenge) was already being recognized.
