Man and wolf as two sides of the same coin; lycanthropy as the perfect embodiment of human duality. In the same spirit, we opened with Ana Lily Amirpour’s Mona Lisa and the Blood Moon and closed with David Lowery’s The Green Knight. Along the way, we celebrated Valdimar Jóhansson with Lamb, Phil Tippett with the colossal Mad God, and the acting brilliance of three essential performers: Noomi Rapace, Franz Rogowski, and Caleb Landry Jones.
