It was the year of the crowning of Severin Fiala and Veronika Franz with The Devil’s Bath, a psychological drama wrapped in a folk horror atmosphere. Cinema screens shook with the phenomena of The Substance by Coralie Fargeat and Terrifier 3 by Damien Leone. To our pantheon of honorary awards, we added names like Geoffrey Rush, Mike Flanagan, Heather Langenkamp, Fabio Testi, and Mar Targarona. And we witnessed that the Spielberg legacy is far from over with Please Don’t Feed the Children, the debut by Destry Allyn Spielberg.
