Hideo Nakata

His masterpiece The Ring (1998) won the Award for Best Feature Film in Sitges and was the kick-off for the J-horror craze. His other significant contributions to this genre are Don't Look Up (1996), Dark Water (2002) and The Ring 2 (1999).
