Sitges Encounters features talks with leading figures in genre filmmaking participating in this year's edition of the Festival.
Joe Dante directed Piranha and co-directed Hollywood Blvd. Other credits include The Howling, Twilight Zone: The Movie, Gremlins, Explorers, The ’Burbs, Gremlins 2: The New Batch, Matinee, Small Soldiers, The Hole and others. Among Dante’s television credits are Amazing Stories, Twilight Zone, Police Squad!, Night Visions, Runaway Daughters, The Second Civil War, Masters Of Horror, Hawaii 5-0, MacGyver, and Legends Of Tomorrow; the pilot and episodes of Eerie, Indiana. Dante co-created the popular film history website Trailers From Hell and its spin-off podcast, The Movies That Made Me. He’s been honored with awards and career retrospectives at film festivals around the world, including Sitges.
