A tribute was paid to Chicho Ibáñez Serrador, director of Who Can Kill a Child?, one of the most influential Spanish horror films of all time, with a midnight screening of this classic horror movie along with El televisor. Fay Wray, King Kong's “bride” in the classic film by Merian C. Cooper and Ernest B. Schoedsack, visited Sitges and posed alongside the Festival's iconic image: King Kong standing in the sea, and facing the church. Retrospectives were dedicated to Scandinavian fantastic films and Alexander Korda.
