Yes, just email us at films@sitgesfilmfestival.com and we'll make the change.

What is the difference between submitting my film in the general categories or in Brigadoon?

Brigadoon independently selects productions within the horror and fantastic genres. It is not a requirement for a short film to be unreleased in Spain in order to be considered for Brigadoon.

Can I submit my film in more than one category?

Yes, but you will have to pay for each submission.

Can I submit a Work in Progress? If I've submitted a WIP, can I submit the finished film later?

The Festival does accept submissions of works in progress. This status must be indicated at the time of submission by checking the appropriate box or by indicating it in parentheses after the title.

The Selection Committee will only view your film once.

Can I submit my film if it's available online?

Pieces submitted in any category cannot be productions previously posted on the Internet or other platforms.

Can I resubmit my film if I already submitted it previously and it wasn't selected?

Yes, you can, as long as you pay the entry fee again, but if it wasn't selected for previous editions, it's unlikely that it will be selected this time.

Can I submit a film made with A.I.?

The Festival is committed to filmmaking talent and the creative authorship of the pieces presented. Film productions that are created entirely with artificial intelligence, or those in which artificial intelligence has been an essential element in their concept or artistic production, will not be accepted in any of its in-competition categories. If you have any questions, please contact the Films Department.

When will you notify me if my film has been accepted?

The notification date for selected projects will be September 1st, 2026.
