Synopsis
Masaki Kobayashi's first color film is a masterpiece that adapts four horror stories from traditional Japanese tales compiled by Greek-Irish writer Lafcadio Hearn. In these stories, the line between the living and the dead becomes blurred, celebrating the supernatural in Japanese folklore. Kobayashi's film is one of the biggest inspirations for modern J-Horror.
