Synopsis

In Everything Will Be OK, the Earth is ruled by animals, which, even though they have taken the place of humans, make the same mistakes. As he already did in The Missing Picture, here Rithy Panh once again uses dioramas to construct an essay on the atrocities of the 20th century and a dystopia with a distinctly Orwellian air.

He was born in Phnom Penh and studied at La Fémis in Paris. With his documentary S21: The Khmer Rouge Killing Machine (2003) he revealed himself as one of the most authoritative voices when it comes to considering the mise en scène of violence, something he continued to explore in The Missing Picture (2013).
