Nostradamus predicted that the world would end in July 1999. Young Kappei and other children isolate themselves on a Japanese island to be trained in the mystical arts of Mukai Sappuken and save the planet from the apocalypse. Nostradamus' prediction doesn't come true, so in 2022 their teacher sends them to live a normal life in the city. A hilarious and endearing superhero comedy directed by one of Takashi Miike's frequent collaborators.
