Luka

Luka is a young and ambitious sniper who asks to be assigned to Fort Kairos, an isolated enclave where a contingent of soldiers is waiting for the attack of a practically mythical enemy that no one has seen for ages. When he arrives, he discovers that paranoia prevails there, as well as a despotic law that won't hesitate to crush soldiers like him. Luka is a free and modernized adaptation of Dino Buzzati's novel The Tartar Steppe, praised by Jorge Luis Borges and previously adapted to film by Valerio Zurlini.
