October 8th, 1983. The McPhersons get together to celebrate the birthday of the family's youngest member. Her father gets ready to film everything with his new VHS camera, unaware that he is about to capture the very first human contact with alien life. A film that provided the spearhead for the found footage genre, ten full years before The Blair Witch Project (1999).
