The Uncle

Yugoslavia, late 1980s. A family rushes to complete the final preparations for Christmas Eve dinner. Their beloved uncle is due to arrive from Germany any minute. It all looks like a normal Christmas scene, but is it really? This debut feature with a peculiar narrative structure, close to Michael Haneke's suffocating universe, manages to take the Christmas spirit to some very dark places.
