Allegro non troppo

Contrasting the optimism of Fantasia (1940) about Western progress, this over-the-top parody of the original Disney movie offers a very peculiar version. An enthusiastic filmmaker thinks he's had an original idea: animation with classical music! When he discovers that this already exists, he decides to create his own interpretation, with an orchestra of old ladies and an animator locked in a dungeon. A delirious tale with music by Vivaldi and Stravinsky, among others.
