Synopsis

Ben, a socially anxiety-ridden tween, tries desperately to adapt to the hierarchical dynamics of a water polo camp. When in public, he ignores the boy who is the outcast of the group, and who is bullied because of his skin disease, but he secretly can't avoid worrying about him. With Joel Edgerton, who also is also the film's producer, as the only adult in a leading role, The Plague offers a display of sublime child performances that embody a boundless cruelty.
