Deliver us from the Evil (Fri Os Fra Det Onde)

de Ole Bornedal

Intending to change his life, Johannes, a lawyer, has moved back to his hometown with his family. The town is about to celebrate its 400th anniversary and that’s when Johannes’ brother, Lars, puts him in an awkward situation by blaming a Bosnian refugee for the fatal accident he’s caused with his truck. Johannes’ sense of justice collides head on with the miseries of a community that puts his life and the lives of his family in danger. Vengeance, hate and xenophobia are some of the subjects that brand Ole Bornedal’s new film. Burning, uncomfortable and deeply realistic terror.
