Slice (Cheun)

de Kongkiat Komesiri

There’s a lot of red at the Sitges Festival this year. Lots of blood, lots of murderers dressed to kill.  In Slice, our criminal dresses like the innocent little red riding hood, although in this case he doesn’t walk around the woods but brutally murders people and puts their bodies in a suitcase. The cops have no choice but to ask for help from Tai, a young man who will find the most important case clues in his own childhood. Police thriller and fierce criticism of the consequences of the abuse some children undergo during their infancy, Slice combines a plot typical of 20th Century Boys with the darkness of The Silence of the Lambs. And to top it all off, an American remake has already been announced.
