I saw the Devil
de Kim Jee-woon
Trailer
Synopsis
For some time now, the police have been unsuccessfully trying to track down a depraved serial killer who murders for pleasure, making no distinction between women and children. When secret agent Soo-hyun’s girlfriend becomes his new victim, Soo-hyun won’t be satisfied with arresting him and a macabre game of cat and mouse begins. Kim Jee-woon, one of our favorite filmmakers, returns to Sitges again this year with a film that stares into the abyss of the crudest vengeance and turns two of the most popular actors in South Korean cinema into bloodthirsty monsters. A visceral, savage thriller that makes no concessions.
