Synopsis
Following a fateful car accident, a brilliant brain surgeon is subjected to a series of tests that reveal he has cancer and needs a bone marrow transplant. In order to survive, he’ll have to ask his parents for help. His parent’s response will expose to him a story hidden in a past of silence and mystery. In his search, the protagonist discovers that, during the Civil War, a group of children were born with a strange and unknown illness: they couldn’t feel physical pain. Halfway between present day and Civil War Spain and its following years, Insensibles is built over a galloping rhythm and a screenplay full of mystery and twists. You will feel the terror...
Director
Juan Carlos Medina
He graduated with a degree in film studies and specialized in screenplay writing at Sorbonne. He has directed music videos for the BBC and made political and society features for Current TV International. He has made several short films and written screenplays for feature length films.
