Synopsis

Four astronauts land on an alien planet in an attempt to create their own paradise, free from the weaknesses and vices of modern civilization. Their noble intentions rapidly become distorted in the hands of their descendants who, unknowingly, repeat all the mistakes once made already by the human race. Andrzej Zulawski's sci-fi masterpiece in its restored version.

Andrzej Zulawski

Lwów, Poland (now the Ukraine), 1940. One of the most atypical, independent directors in contemporary cinema, he began his career in the sixties. His are heartrending, poetic films, as in the case of L'important c'est d'aimer (75), Possession (81), La femme publique (84) or L'Amour braque (85). He has also worked in theater and written novels and short stories.
