The encounter between two benchmark authors of the most bizarre fantastic fiction like William S. Burroughs and David Cronenberg culminated in this surreal adaptation of the classic novel of the same name: a cocktail of espionage thriller and hallucinatory science fiction, where Burroughs’ alter-ego is drawn into a world of drugs, sex, conspiracy and humanoid insects. Sitges presents the 4K restoration of this film that premiered at the past Berlin Film Festival.
