Synopsis
A controversial peplum based on the story of the Roman emperor Caligula. The film chronicles the controversial leader's brief but tumultuous rule, from his rise to power following the death of his great-uncle Tiberius to the coup d'état that ended his life. The version that will be screened this year in Sitges is a complete reconstruction of the film from its original materials, presenting an expanded narrative utilizing entirely unseen footage.
