Synopsis

A film crew travels to the remote Skull Island to shoot their new movie: once there, the leading actress is kidnapped by an ancestral tribe that worships a gigantic gorilla called King Kong, offering her up as a ritual sacrifice. The Festival's mascot will be returning to the big screen this year to celebrate its ninetieth anniversary, revisiting some spectacular stop motion special effects by Willis O'Brien.
