Satan Wants You

In 1980, the Canadian psychiatrist Larry Pazder and his patient Michelle Smith wrote a book where they claimed that, through therapy, they had discovered that Smith had been abused by a satanic cult. Despite the fact that no proof was presented, ultra-conservative sectors of American society capitalized on it to persecute anything that was an "attack" against their religious values: this is how the phenomenon known as "Satanic Panic" began.
