La Venere d'Ille

The discovery of an ancient bronze statue of Venus on the grounds of Monsieur de Peyrehorade coincides with a series of accidents. The subsequent arrival of an appraiser, who falls in love with the aristocrat's daughter, will further complicate the situation. This adaptation of the eponymous story by Prosper Mérimée, filmed as part of the series I giochi del diavolo, was the final film directed by Mario Bava, accompanied by his son Lamberto.
