Under Franco's dictatorship, Spain's stringent censorship laws had repressed any form of sexuality outside of Catholic marriage. But in the aftermath of the dictator's death and the consolidation of democracy, S-rated films, intended only for ages 18 and older, embodied a period in Spanish history during which sex went from being a sin to becoming a cinematic expression of political freedom. This is their story.
