Encounter - Showrunners LAB: Encounter with Mike Flanagan

Sitges Encounters includes talks with the great figures of genre cinema participating in this edition of the festival.

Mike Flanagan will receive the Time Machine Award 2024. Flanagan is a filmmaker who has been involved in the film industry since he first came to the forefront in 2011 with Absentia, he has proven to be one of the most outstanding figures in contemporary horror. Throughout his career, developed between film and television, he has conferred his unmistakable style to all his works, whether these were original stories, such as Midnight Mass for example, or ambitious adaptations inspired by Shirley Jackson and Stephen King, as in the cases of The Haunting of Hill House or Doctor Sleep. He has participated twice in the Festival's Official Selection, with Oculus and with Before I Wake.
