Pitch Session - Sitges FanPitch

For the tenth year in a row, the Sitges – International Fantastic Film Festival of Catalonia is organizing Sitges FanPitch, its pitch competition for feature film projects and serialized production.

Sitges FanPitch is the international pitch contest event focused on feature films and serialized production in development with horror, science fiction and/or fantasy themes. The initiative maintains its objective of discovering the best gender projects and connecting them with leading companies in the industry. The event will be hybrid on October 6 and 7, 2024 at the Sitges Film Festival. 

Five series and seven feature films from around the world have been selected. These will be joined by the projects selected by the Festival in the film markets collaborating with the Sitges FanPitch, a project led by the three winners of the WomanInFan Residence 2023 and, as a special guest, the new project by Paul Urkijo. Those responsible for the selected projects will be able to make a sales pitch and meet with each participating company. In addition, the 5 winning feature film projects will be eligible for travel grants for international circulation. This year, the Feratum, International Fantastic Film Festival, located in Mexico, will join the Sitges FanPitch market circuit. It will select a project from the Sitges FanPitch to be part of the next Feratum Residence. At the same time, we have created an extra section dedicated to Catalan projects titled Catalunya Imaginària, and we have added Encuentro Internacional de Productores EIP 2024 as a collaborator, from which we select a project to participate in our market. 

For the fourth consecutive year, this edition will be complemented by the Showrunners LAB, an introductory and advisory seminar on the figure of the showrunner. The selected series projects will be able to carry out individual mentoring with the showrunners participating in this edition.
