Round Table - HORROR GIRLS. Bloody Obsession: Writing about women and horror
Interest in female creators within the fantasy genre has led to the production of three fascinating studies in recent years. In this session, the three responsible authors will present the topics and directors they have covered, and, most importantly, their conclusions about the legacy of women in the genre. The speakers are three prominent authors and experts in the field: Mònica García Massagué, coordinator of the book Horror Girls; Heidi Honeycutt, author of I Spit on Your Celluloid; and Victoria McCollum, author of Bloody Women: Women Directors of Horror (Critical Conversations in Horror Studies). Alice Lowe will join this incredible roundtable as the representative of female directors in the fantasy genre. Alice Lowe, who has been present at the festival since the beginning of her career, will present her new film titled Timestalker at this edition.
