Vampire Girl vs. Frankenstein Girl (Kyuketsu Shojo Tai Shojo Furanken)

de Naoyuki Tomomatsu & Yoshihiro Nishimura

On Saint Valentine’s Day, Mizushima accepts the chocolate given to him by his classmate Monami. She’s a vampire and wants to make him hers forever, but Keiko, an old admirer, isn’t willing to let him get away. Nishimura, pope of new Japanese gore and Tomomatsu, pioneer of zombies in pleated skirts, join forces to bathe the Tokyo Tower itself in blood and offer us a marathon of ingenious gruesomeness where there’s no room for political correction and plenty of it for black humor. The screen version of the manga by versatile artist Shungiku Uchida and a total party among friends. Be on the lookout for the cameo appearances.
