A Korean priest, whose rectitude and goodness make him respected by his entire community, travels to Africa to experiment with a new vaccine. The medicine’s side effects are immediate: the good priest is turned into a bloodthirsty vampire. After his mutation, he starts to feel a strong desire for a friend’s wife. Together they begin to discover the pleasures of flesh and blood. Park Chan-wook takes this vampire story to his territory: great visual power, lots of blood and elegant, impossible sequences.
