Enter the Void

de Gaspar Noé

Everyone who felt disturbed by Irreversible will continue to squirm in their seats with Enter the Void. Gaspar Noé is undoubtedly one of the most irreverent filmmakers in contemporary cinema, a virtuoso of the camera who delves shamelessly into the darkest corners of the human being. In Enter the Void, he follows the steps of a brother and sister who travel from Europe to Tokyo, where they fall into the networks of sex for money and drugs. Noé explores his characters’ mind (and even a woman’s vagina!), insists on long subjective shots and turns the camera into a trapeze artist that defies the impossible. A mind-blowing journey from the most terrible enfant in French cinema.

Gaspar Noé

Son of a painter, he spent his youth between Argentina and the United States. After working on several shoots, he presented the medium-length film Carne (91) in Cannes. He has directed I Stand Alone (98), Irreversible (02), Enter the Void (09) and Climax (18).
