In an absolutely fascinating landscape, in a house at the edge of a lake, in a snowy, misty setting, lives a family made up of a blind mother, a father and three children. The two older siblings, Alexi –an epileptic woodcutter—and Hege, are crazy about each other. But one day a stranger appears in their world. He’s Jurgen, a young man that introduces himself as someone who’s come precisely to cut wood. The newcomer strikes up a good relationship with Hege, before her brother Alexi´s attentive eyes and in a dark, closed-in environment, full of silences and whispers.
