Machete Maidens Unleashed!

de Mark Hartley

Synopsis

Exotic, cheap and with a film industry working at full capacity, in the 60s and the 70s the Philippines became a paradise for low cost productions that flooded half the world’s cinemas with their shameless mixture of horror, sex and blood. An unrepeatable period now documented by the director of the excellent Not Quite Hollywood, in a quick-paced, hilarious master class, with renowned speakers like John Landis, Roger Corman or Eddie Romero and footage from films whose titles in themselves where worth the price of the ticket. You are invited to the mad, mad Filipino exploitation flick party.
