Synopsis

Over ten years after its premiere, this comedy that Joe Dante directed for HBO is still more valid than ever. A powerful nuclear explosion forces a series of Pakistani orphans to take refuge in the United States. In Idaho, the local government closes off its borders to the newcomers. This reaches the president´s ears, and he decides to respond by sending in the army. The scene gets even more complicated when reporters, immigrants, citizens and soldiers start to run into each other. A work whose political content and humor haven´t lost their momentum.
