Zebraman: Attack on Zebra City (Zebraman: Zebra City no Gyakushu)

de Takashi Miike

However tremendously classic he was in 13 Assassins, Takashi Miike doesn't want to stop being the enfant terrible that made him the king of specialized festivals, and among them Sitges. With this sequel to Zebraman, Miike outdoes himself offering a furious neo pop show, that's closer to Yatterman (seen last year at this same Festival) than the original film. Zebraman: Attack on Zebra City is an installment that makes the creation of a franchise possible at a time when the reconstruction of the superhero figure is one of the fashionable themes in fantastic cinema from all parts of the world. A film that gives us back the most iconoclastic and radical Miike.

Takashi Miike
