The Murder Farm (Tannöd)

de Bettina Oberli

When the Danner family was brutally murdered on their farm deep in the woods, stories started to go around among their neighbors speculating on the family’s elusive and sinister character. Two years later, Kathrin arrives in town to bury her mother, finding a place that is still stigmatized by this incident. Little by little, the townspeople confide in Kathrin about what they think they know about the tragedy, and she discovers that the Danner’s story seems to be connected to her own family. Set soon after the Second World War, Tannöd is a disturbing suspense drama that shows how deep rooted evil is in the heart of Europe.
